2005 Beardown Awards:Best Offensive Player

The easiest winner of the whole voting.. One player got votes for this award and its easy to see why. Started 15 games (even though he wasnt always fit), 1335 rushing yards and 143 receiving yards. 9 touchdowns and 67 first downs. Not to shoddy for being the focus of such a one dimensional offense.

TJ came into the season with a big chip on his shoulder, the obvious reason was the drafting of Cedric Benson at #4 in the draft. But up till then there was still a concern that TJ may not last a whole season. But he beat out Benson for the job (imho would have regardless of Bensons hold out) and dispelled any theories that he couldnt physically cope.

"TJ battled through injury and at times, eight guys to hit nearly 1500 yards of total offense and nine TDs on the year. Plus he blocked well for a rookie QB. "
